SUBMIT YOUR CHILDREN’S BOOK

Before submitting to SparkPress, please read about how our Children’s Publishing Package works.

To submit, please fill out the blank fields in the submissions form, and provide:

  • Your entire manuscript

  • Cover and illustrations (at least mockups), if providing

  • Number of and size of illustrations (for instance, full page, half page)

  • Potential trim size (use comparative books you love if you’re not sure)

Formatting specifications include:

  • Double-spaced
  • Common font (Times; Times New Roman; Georgia)
  • 12-point font size
  • Page numbers included

Please label your file: LAST NAME_SUBMISSION.docx.

We charge a $35 submission fee in order to assess whether or not your work is ready for publication. This is part of SP’s vetting process, which we strongly believe will ensure the quality of your project and our ongoing list.

We are committed to bringing viable projects into the marketplace. If we determine that your manuscript and illustrations are ready for publication, we will email you with a SP publication agreement and you will opt into the SparkPress Children’s Publishing Package. If we determine that your manuscript needs a bit more work, we will give you editorial feedback and a recommendation for what your next steps with SparkPress should be.

Once you submit payment below, you will receive an email confirmation that your submission has been received. Please allow up to eight weeks for a response. And thank you for your interest in publishing your work with SparkPress.
