Yodassa Williams is a Jamaican American writer, entrepreneur, and award-winning performing storyteller. Born in Ohio and now living in the Bay Area, she is known as the “Black Burning Man Girl” for her tales of adventure and transformation at the festival. She has a storytelling podcast, The Black Girl Magic Files, and has been published online in Splinter. She is an alumna of the VONA/Voices Travel Writing program, completed a writing residency with Yefe Nof, and was selected for 2018’s Fortify Writer’s Retreat. When not writing or working in fashion styling, Yodassa teaches storytelling craft to young girls of color through Girls, Inc. in Oakland. The Goddess Twins is her debut novel.
