Wendy Darling Series by Colleen Oakes

Speaking of folklore, what better way to celebrate this holiday than to begin with the retelling of Peter Pan. But in this trilogy, he is not the hero. Wendy Darling tries to be the proper young lady that everyone expects her to be—but when a dazzling (and flying?!) boy enters her life everything changes. Wendy has always dreamed of adventure, and when Peter Pan promises her everything she could ever want, Wendy and her brothers fly off with him to Neverland. A place full of wild boys, mermaids, and pirates, the Darling siblings find themselves completely immersed in Peter Pan’s world. But as dangers begin to befall them and Peter Pan develops a toxic obsession with Wendy, she realizes that her adventure may be more dangerous than she thought.

The 8th Island Trilogy by Alexis Marie Chute

As Archie goes in search for his missing son on the Canary Islands, he brings along his fourteen-year-old granddaughter, Ella, and her mother, Tessa. But Ella is suffering from an illness that slowly weakens her and when they travel to the magical land of Jarr-way, they may just be able to find her cure. As they reach the war-torn realm, Ella is taken prisoner Bangols. Tessa, Ella’s mother, must now search the island for her. But along the way she is forced to confront dark secrets of her past and a new (confusing) love triangle! Full of epic adventures and a strong pull of familial bonds, they must find the cure in time but that might mean uncovering an even bigger challenge that could change the world.

The Equal Night Trilogy by Stacey L. Tucker

Skylar Southmartin was just trying to get her life together. She was sorting out the pieces of her mother’s untimely death, trying to finish a veterinary degree, and finally reconnecting with her first love. Then Joshua shows up and changes everything. Though he’s dangerous, Skylar finds him irresistible even when his presence threatens to destroy her normal life. When the mysterious Book of Sophia falls into her hands, Skylar learns of the truths hidden within its pages. Long ago, the Greek male gods were threatened by the priestesses’ power and sought to destroy them and their knowledge. The Book of Sophia was thought to be lost, but now Skylar has it and carries with her the knowledge of what is to come.

The Witches of Orkney Series by Alane Adams

Before Abigail had a son who saved all of Orkney, she was a young glitch witch. She didn’t have any powers like the others in the coven. To make it worse, her arch-nemesis, Endera, is trying to get her kicked out of Tarkana Academy. But when her friend Hugo is in danger, something flares inside Abigail and she earns her witchfire. There’s a catch, however: witchfire is supposed to be green, Abigail’s is blue. With the help of Hugo, they set off to discover the truth of her powers and an even bigger prophecy that changes her life. Set as the prequel trilogy before The Legends of Orkney series, Abigail must learn about her origins and save herself from being kicked out of the coven.

The Echoes Trilogy by Cheryl Campbell

Decades ago, humans found themselves consumed in a war with an alien race over Earth’s dominion. Now the Wardens, a genocidal faction of aliens, have taken over earth. Their goal: to kill anyone that threatens their rule. When Dani, a scavenger who has survived through her quick wit, discovers that she is part alien—it changes her whole life. The only way to stop the Echoes is to unite the military and the surviving civilians to stand together. Dani is forced to revisit dark memories from her past and discover the hidden truths of her heritage.

Elly in Bloom Series by Colleen Oakes

Elly Jordan surely thought that the worst day of her life would be when she found her husband cheating on her with a red-headed artist. But it turns out, having to help plan your husband’s lover’s wedding might just be worse. Despite the dramatic affair, since then Elly has managed to live an uneventful life. She owns a flower Boutique in St. Louis, has a rambunctious dog, and (an unfairly) gorgeous best friend. But when a new musician moves in across the street, one who has an eye for curvy women, Elly’s uneventful life might just change. As she helps with her now ex-husbands floral arrangements—a commission that will help her open a second flower store—a steamy relationship begins between her and the hottest musician in town. What could possibly go wrong? Full of humor, charm, and truly learning what love is, this duology will have you laughing and crying with Elly on her journey.
