If your pet is adventurous, you should read Song for the Road by Rayne Lacko

If your pet is a bestie, you should read Pursuits Unknown by Ellen Clary

Amy and her kelpie-shepherd mix, Lars, are as close as owner and pet can get—they have telepathic communication. It makes them a great team when it comes to hunting down missing people. On a mission, the two locate a missing scientist to learn that their assignment was an attempt to steal the man’s research. If the information is misused, it could lead to world devastation.
